review 1: Another really good read...at least 4 solid stars...maybe more. Another twisted killer that I wasn't sure of until really late in the book, although I suspected earlier...just couldn't make it gel, because he was so deviant. Great supporting characters once again, and I enjoyed Monica and Luke's exchanges. Samantha and Max took center stage in this one. Both with troubled pasts, they fit together well. If I had to nit pick...which *sigh* I do. I would say that Sam took some crap off Max that she shouldn't have. She was mega strong in this...as an agent...especially after what she went through in Deadly Fear. I just think she could have carried this into their relationship. She was really easy on him when he was an ass...probably should have made him work a bit more(; Overa... morell loved it, though!
review 2: Deadly Lies was intriguing almost from the start. I was enthralled from the beginning of the book. I was amazed by the maze the author set up for me. I wanted to be one of the people in the book, trying to figure it all out. when everything started coming to light I was just going crazy, trying to tell the characters who it was, who to look for, and what to do as if they could hear me. I didn’t exactly figure it all out because there were so many people involved. When the actual kidnapper/killer came to light I wanted to get into the book and kill him myself. This book was filled with intrigue, treachery, love, hate, and a whole host of emotions. I couldn’t believe it all, but I was fascinated by the picture she painted, and how it all turned out. To me, this was the best book in the trilogy, and the author made me want to read more of her books. Unfortunately, Audible doesn’t have any more of her books. Hopefully, they’ll get a few more. less
