review 1: I have enjoyed this series immensely - the situations these intrepid characters find themselves get more and more over the top; going to hell and battling Satan seems to be par for the course! People dying and coming back to life, demons, shapeshifters, slipped angels, vampires and Satan spawn complete the mix. The descriptions of hell and the torture is stomach turning, but is nicely balanced by the friendships, love and sacrifices these mixed up kids display to one another. Lovely stuff
review 2: Excellent end to the series, as Miranda (dead vampire watching from The Penultimate, sort of halfway to Heaven), werewolf Kieren, (Miranda's boyfriend), vampire with a soul Quincie, and Quincie's fallen guardian angel Zachary (and Miranda's boyfriend) all join in the... more fight to save Miranda's best friend Lucy from being taken by the devil. Set in a boarding school that is a front for the devil, the guys enroll undercover as students to find out what's going on, and end up trapped there, fighting hellhounds and a ghostly teacher. Will they succeed in saving Lucy and restoring Zachary's angel status? Or will the fiends of evil succeed? less
