review 1: Cynthia Leitich Smith is amazing. This is only the second story from her that I have read, and I will be looking for all of her other works. This is a short story that starts off a bit slow, but the plot rapidly speeds up. It is about a young girl who is sent off to live with her grandmother. The ending will leave readers wanting more, and disappointed that this is not the beginning of a new series. However if the reader remembers it is a short story, they will quickly fall in love with this story, and this style of writing. I can't wait to read more and easily recommend this story and this author to any fan of the supernatural.
review 2: I have mixed feelings about this book, the writing is great, suspicion is even better; but I guess the short story doesn't d
... moreo it justice. I wanted so much more, for one the book stopped right when she was figuring out who she was and what she was. I know that short stories are suppose to draw you in, but dang and little more would have sealed the deal with me buying the full version. Now, I just don't know...I hate being teased...lol... :-) less

I did not like it at all, did not worth your time even as a free reading..

Nothing exciting, nothing elaborate, not very well thought out.
