review 1: Mr. Putter would much rather have an ice cream soda with Mrs. Teaberry rather than attend a cooking class with her (and Zeke and Tabby). I mean, "100 Ways To Cook Beans?" He's not so sure, especially since Mrs. Teaberry said, "Trust me." The last time she said that, he was stuck atop a roller coaster. But go he does, against his better judgement. And that's when all the fun breaks out. We just love this series.
review 2: Rylant's books are all so delightful, and this one does not disappoint! The illustrations by Howard are some of my all-time favorite! In this particular Mr. Putter and Tabby tale, Mrs. Teaberry convinces Mr. Putter and Tabby to tag along with her and Zeke to a cooking class....on beans and beans alone. Mr. Putter can think of a plethora of thin... moregs he would rather be doing, but finally gives in. He and Mrs. Teaberry take their pets, Tabby and Zeke along and it turns out that things can get pretty exciting when it comes to learning how to cook with beans, especially when there are pets involved! less
