Honey Pie was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1968. Barbra Streisand recorded her version in 1969. It was released on her album What About Today? The album also included versions of With A Little Help From My Friends and Goodnight. Honey Pie was also released as a single in the UK in 1969. The B-side was Little Tin Soldier.
