review 1: The book is fantastic. It has everything a book needs. Though... maybe not everything. Just before this book I read the "Game of Thrones" books, so I`d say it isn't exciting enough. I mean...COME ON WE ALL KNOW IT WILL HAVE A HAPPY ENDING. But the same goes for so many other books, so bottom line: It's an interesting book compered to regular books, but compered to "A Song of Ice and Fire"... i wouldn't say so.
review 2: 1.5The concept was intriguing - there were definitely quite a few brilliant ideas.However, the book was disappointing. Throughout the entire thing, the author told us what the characters were like. We weren't shown development. We weren't really shown anything, only presented with convenient stereotypes to slot each character into.I had a few ot... moreher problems with this book but I won't elaborate; I think it's hard enough to write a book without people heaping negative criticism on you.To put it simply, it was a great idea but the execution fell rather flat.(If anyone is looking for a book with a similar premise, I definitely recommend Ruby Red) less
