review 1: Ganz ausgezeichneter Thriller. spannend gemacht, wenn ich etwas zu meckern habe, dann, dass das Personal ein wenig zu thrillerig-klischeehaft angelegt ist, was dem Spannungs-Lesevergnügen aber nur wenig Abbruch verleiht. Darüberhinaus lernt man in diesem Buch einiges über Aserbeidschan, über Kultur, Land, Leute und die aktuelle politische Situation, kurzum ein rundum empfehlenswerter Roman für zwischendurch.
review 2: Pretty ordinary read. its a straight forward spy thriller set in Azerbaijan, Iran and Iraq. The CIA seems to be trying to save the world by stopping the Iranian getting their hands on some bomb grade uranium. Wonder why? Getting a bomb has not made any iota of difference for the people of Pakistan so the US may stop wasting their time.I am af... moreraid I found it difficult to finish this very ordinary spy story. less
