review 1: I wasn't sure whether to rate this book two or three stars, but I decided to go with two because the translation was awful. The language was all over the map - whether this is because of the translation or the ghost writer I'm not sure. While I found the book interesting, it came down to one question: Can you trust Daniel Domscheit-Berg? Personally, he has always struck me as a trustworthy person; but who is to say that he's not just following his own personal vendetta against Julian Assange. Also, I found that the book focused WAY too much on his personal life. Who the heck cares? This book was far from balanced - though I'm not really sure why I found that surprising. I would have rather read a more balanced book by a journalist, that focused more on the issues and... more could be trusted.
review 2: This is a complicated book to comment: the writing is terrible but the story is compelling. The funny thing is that Assange's profile in this book is exactly what I've always thought: a narcissist, who needs to be on the constantly spotlight. He likes this! Daniel isn't a saint either - his portrait of a dramatic and poor guy didn't affected me. Now, let's wait for the movie to see which direction they decided to take. less
