The Cow Who Climbed A Tree by Gemma Merino is a super book about a cow who loved adventures. The illustrations (also by Gemma) are colourful and beautiful. The story delicately suggests the importance of trying new things – which I think we can all find daunting sometimes!

Gemma Merino has written two other children’s books – The Crocodile Who Didn’t Like Water (2016) and a new book called The Sheep Who Hatched An Egg (2017). We had the pleasure of hearing her reading her new book at a ‘story-time’ event at Rogan’s Books in Bedford and it’s another cracker of a book for little ones.
