review 1: It is a wonderfully written book. I had recently read Fat Chance by Robert Lustig on similar lines which was awesome but it largely dealt with sugar. I loved the way this book started at a macro level addressing evolution and how it impacts our bodies and then went on to explain the mechanism of the most widely prevalent mismatch diseases. It was hard for me to get through the first few chapters dealing with evolution over 6 millions years but last 6Chapters made the effort worth it. A must read for parents and educators and policy makers.
review 2: I dipped in and out of this book but really thought it well put together and backed up by all the impotency could possibly want. My advice to any other reader would be if you're finding a particular topic boring don
... more't give up just skip it and move onto the next topic. Although sometimes this means you'll miss the connections that will occur later, for a example understanding the different types of sugars, how the body process this sugars less

Fantastic. A journey through the process of how our bodies got their current state of human-ness.

The first half or so of the book is excellent. Less interesting towards the end.

5-star book unnecessarily fluffed with repetition to a 4-star book.
