review 1: The Rookie Club was started for new female police officers on the force. Jaimie and Hailey had been working for awhile when a rapist begins targeting the police. As they work to find the suspect, a new member, MacKenzie, joins the club. When a female inspector is murdered its possible her killer and their rapist are one and the same. As they work to find out the truth, more about their personal lives is revealed. Very good start to the series. Like each character and the fact that in spite of their flaws, they're all dedicated to their job which is getting the bad guys off the streets. Plenty of twists and turns to keep your interest.
review 2: It took me a while to get into this book, but after I did, I was hooked. I think the action continued throughout the s... moretory and never lagged. I liked the characters and wanted the girls to solve the crimes. The only negative thing I can think of was the list of characters. It was hard to keep straight who was who. I gave this book 5 stars because the action never stopped, you felt you were there, you felt drawn into the story and wanted the bad guy stopped. I felt the frustration of being a woman, a wife, a mom and a cop.One review stated that the story was more about the characters than the mystery. This might have been partially true in this story, but as a woman reading about how these women were dealing with their jobs, their home life and keeping it all together...I liked it. less
