review 1: Holy shit. i love love love the idea of this! The 3 stars I gave isn't really fair, it's more of a 3.5, but I'm not really willing to give a 4 to this book. I love how imaginative this is. First, I wish we could have explored Cecile's singing talents, as boring and bland as that might be. I don't know why I thought it would play something larger in the book. I enjoyed Tristan's character. He's charming and witty instead of the brooding and aloof characters I've been reading of lately. It was refreshing. I also love that there's more to Cecile than meets the eye. I'm glad she's not completely helpless.
review 2: Boy oh boy! does Danielle Jensen know how to write! She weaves a beautiful, exciting and original tale with a promise for more to come. The characte
... morers-Cecile and Tristan are so very strong and likable. I flew through their story as fast as my eyes could devour the words off the pages and by the end, I found that I was yet hungry for more of Cecile and Tristan and Marc and Vic and Vince. What happens to Trollus? Will Cecile find her powers and destroy the witch or will her friends suffer eternally under the Forsaken Mountain? My hands are positively itching to pick up the next book in the series...only, I don't know how long we'l have wait for it :( less
