review 1: I enjoyed it and found it fairly entertaining but it wasn't the best book I read. I found it to be really cliche and was a lot like mean girls with a demonic twist. I feel like even the demonic elements were cliche and not very well researched. It could have been done better but it wasn't horrible. I was entertained and even creeped out at times. The ending wasn't a huge twist, I had already thought of it as well as a few others. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could, but it definitely wasn't 3 stars, that's why I ended up with 4.
review 2: So that was an interesting read. I really wanted to love this book. It had all the makings of something good with a handful of cliches. A new girl Sofia gets steeped up in this hive mentality when the popular, gorgeous girls
... moredecide to take her under their wings. There leader Riley was mesmerizing yet cold. She was described the same way most "mysterious" and "pained" girls are written about such as distant, and possessing smiles that don't reach their eyes. When they decide to help a girl, Brooklyn, and purge her from evil, things just get crazy. I came into this book cold, I didn't know what to expect. As the novel progressed it went from reading like Mean Girls to the Craft to a first season episode of Supernatural (the only time they attempted to scare the viewers)The violence described in the book was horrific. If this book is marketed for young adults, I can easily picture some of the younger kids getting freaked out and parents complaining. The torture scenes had me putting the book down and walking away for hours at a time. It wasn't until the last 1/4 of the book that my interest started to fizzle out. The first good chunk of book was incredibly fast paced but then we got Sofia's full back story . . . in flash backs. This book had a strong lead but ended up feeling a lifetime supernatural movie. less

At first glance, the cover of the book I never imagined it would be as well written as it was. Though personally, I am not a fan of the color pink. I do feel the color does describe Riley, Grace and Alexis as a whole. The pacing is well-timed as I find it able to keep pace. The story starts out with rather than a conclusion of her old school but an origin of who the protagonist Sofia really is. The overall story is a dark and mind consuming story that has an innate ability to plant doubt into the readers of a sense of something is missing until you reach the very end of the story to get the whole picture. It was a rather easy read since I finished it between nine hours of work and house cleaning. Though I am not saying the book is simple. There is a lot of thought put into the book and is written to make you think. It overlaps with a lot of themes though in small doses such as; religion and trauma. If there is any drawbacks to the book. It would be vanishing pain because characters don’t seem to last long. Also there is an editing error on page 260 if you look. I would like to remind everyone it is just my opinion. In conclusion, this review I’d like to say. If you like dark, somewhat disturbing literature then you would enjoy this. Plot 4/5 Pacing 5/5
