review 1: I started reading this book today and finished it in the same day so it is still very fresh in my mind when writing this review. I loved this story at first, it had great characters and a really good plot. The idea that the characters were insane and slowly watching Riley get crazier and crazier and hearing the characters back story's was great and the scenes in the basement with Brooklyn being tortured were very creepy an very intense and it really sucked me in. The ending however was disappointing. That whole plot about Brooklyn actually being satan just disappointed me so much. It would be better if it was just them having to survive a night trapped with Riley, Grace, and Alexis and all that stuff happens but after the fire the police arrive and that's how it ends. That... more would have been so much better then some forces plot about Brooklyn being satan and killing Riley and Grace.
review 2: 3 stars. I love the idea of these pretty girls doing terrible things. It’s such an interesting idea that I think a lot of authors enjoy playing with in Young Adult novels. I also enjoy the horrific descriptions that Vega wrote in the book—some of which were nightmare material. The cover is another strength this book has. The simplicity of it is beautiful and who wouldn’t want to read a pink horror novel? I really loved the concept for this book, however, the execution fell a bit flat for me. I couldn’t find myself caring for the characters. The one I cared about most was Riley—don’t think that was supposed to happen. The thing that I think dragged the book down the most, though, is the ending. Many people loved it—said it was unexpected and whatnot, but I wasn’t a fan. less

This would probably make a horrible, horrible movie but, as a book, I loved it.
