Nine-months ago they were the best of friends but after Sera exposes Ariel's secret; Ariel cannot forgive but she gets even by destroying Sera's social status. So a weekend with her old friends is not something Sera is looking forward to attending. Within hours of arriving at the party; the party is taken hostage by camouflaged, mask wearing assailants and people die.Told from both of the girl's perspectives, this fast paced book keeps the reader engaged through every twist and turn of this story. I wanted to know why they burned those bridges in the first place. I wanted to know who lived and who died. I wanted to see the kids grow into themselves and fight back. I wanted to read this book. Basically - I couldn't put it down.Where it really lost stars were the love interests. Everytime one of the girls got all ...girly ... over one of the guys, I got taken out of the story. It wasn't a "we're scared, hold us, fuck us," that I would have believed. It was sappy chick-lit crap. Overall, a pretty damn good entertaining read. less
