review 1: Most of the fiction pieces left me feeling cold and unresolved - they often seemed to have no conclusion or central point. But the nonfiction selections are almost universally fascinating and well written. Worth reading for those alone. Many of them are available elsewhere for free (go google Wired's Art of the Steal article for a real treat), but without this collection i'd never have found them. I'll be back for the 2012 edition.
