review 1: This was a great thriller that had me guessing until the very end. I have a love/hate relationship with thrillers as I am very good at guessing the ending and catching on to the hair pin turns, which doesn't make it very exciting. However, once in awhile I find a book, like The Big Exit, that leaves me stunned by the ending. I'm not sure it will appeal to everyone but the fact that the book is set in the SF Bay Area/Silicon Valley, where I live/work, and that is is about a start up, which I work in the industry and my husband owns his own company, but I felt the subject and theme of the book to be brilliant. I was fascinated and couldn't stop listening.I loved it and would recommend it for an enthralling listen.
review 2: Carnoy's Big Exit is a fun read for t
... moreechies living the the SF Bay Area. He sets the stage with the death of a start-up tech executive under pressure from investors and everyone else in his life. Of course, the wife becomes a prime suspect and hires a high powered female lawyer. The tale takes several interesting twists and turns by involving an ex-start up colleague who is rebuilding his life after a jail sentence for a car-related death of a close friend. For Bay area folks this books has a lot of local scenery. This is a satisfying read for a long flight. less
