review 1: Although the book was filled with action and adventure David Macinnis Gill's Invisible Sun was not that good. In the first book it stuck with the same evil treat all the way through the book and it had a great story line. Invisible Sun had at least twenty characters with very weird names like Riki-Tiki, Stain, Archibald, Shoei, Yadokai, and lastly Ghannouj(pg.302). Those are some examples why it is really hard to follow the storyline, even if it is on Mars. Most of the characters died from being caught by Archibald, so as the story progressed it got easier to follow the characters. This is important to stay with a set number of characters in a book so that they influence you to a conclusion of how they act throughout the book. Another reason why I didn't like the book is ... morebecause the first part of the book they are fighting against the corp com troopers at the capital (pg.2). But the second part of the book they were fighting against Archibald the bounty hunter (pg. 349). The plot changed ways so it was very hard to follow. This is important because when you are writing you shouldn't change ways halfway in the book you should just stay with one storyline. That is why his first book did so well.
review 2: Black Hole Sun by David Macinnis Gill is a book that takes place on Mars in the future. Durango who is only seventeen is a mercenary and is hired along with others to protect a mining base to protect a very valuable resource against a violent ground or raiders and marauders that will prove to be a very difficult opponent to fight. Black Hole Sun was honestly one of the worst books I have ever read. When reading it I was confused on where the main character was at times because the author skipped around so much and it was hard to figure out what was happening. The book had almost no detail and I don't recommend this book to anyone. less
