review 1: A very honest and curious read. The cat's confessions of self-indugance and feeble attempts at overcoming mediocrity are heart-warming and lends a comfortable grab to readers to relate to. Strewen with insigtful and mindful morsels, this engaging and humorous read will give important messages to manage everyday dilemmas related to self without the pedantic attitude or preaching tone. A light and enlightening delight for weekend reading.
review 2: This is such a different style from what I'm normally used to reading and one I immensely enjoyed. This book has opened a completely new portal for me to read more on Buddhism & meditation. The whole atmosphere of the book was so far away from what I'm acquainted with that I tried to absorb every detail & ended up feel
... moreing that I too was living at Jokhang during those pages. The fact that a cat's narrating played a part in my choice of the book but I honestly didn't expect it to be that much good. You can rarely encounter a book that's both an enjoyable story & a self help guide at the same time, and this one certainly was.I also loved how the lessons taught were reflected on Snow lion's (I picked this as my fav name for her) own life, it gave a charming quality to them. I cannot wait to find the next book that brings that magical spiritual world to my own world like this one has :) less
