review 1: I finished this book a year ago but it stays with me shedding its wisdom in my life like the Dalai Lama's cat sheds fur. It is one of the best books on Buddhism I've read as well as one of the most delightful. It is approachable and pleasurable and because it communicates through story-telling, it stays in the memory. I am the cat, I think. The great world swirls around me while I am focused on my own small matters and am challenged in the same way as the cat.
review 2: Loved, loved loved this book! I savored each chapter like a glass of fine wine. The story is done so well from the viewpoint of the Dalai Lama's cat. The Dalai Lama has a profound effect on this little rescued cat's life. This book made me laugh, but yet was serious as I found myself thinking
... more about my own life. A delightful story for cat lovers and others who like to laugh and learn. I can't wait to read the second one. less
