review 1: I think that with this book author achieved "wonderful paradox", so I hope he is verry happy man because his book made me happy, optimistic, mindful, and determinated. Through every chapter in this book you find yourself in a position of the cat who is narrator and learns valuable lessons for every new situation in which she find herself. There is chapter about boredom, loneliness, self respect, changes, stress, habits and our reactions to them. Great book. One of those you don't want to end. Highly recommend it!
review 2: It's listed as fiction, but it is only in the most superficial sense - that it's about fictitious animals & people. I think it should be in the religion or self-help sections, as it's a fun and gentle exploration of Buddhism through the eyes
... moreof a cat. As HHC, His Holiness's Cat, our narrator sits in on discussions with all kinds of people and prayer sessions at the temple then relates what she's heard to her own experiences. Thoroughly enjoyable. less
