review 1: This book is a perfect, non-committal read. Fast, engaging and beautifully crafted, it's a great book to settle into before bed because it keeps you interested without keeping you up all night. The plot elements are simplistic and borderline on predictable, however this is not surprising for the verse style genre which often serves as a means of exploring and telling the same story old story in a new, more lyrically pleasing, form. Even the biggest poetryphobe will enjoy this.
review 2: It took me forever to get through this tiny book. Partly because it is written in verse which required me to slow down and focus on the language...but largely because I love David Rakoff and the thought of closing this book and knowing I'd never again have the chance to discover
... more something new and perfect he had written broke my heart. I finally gave up on "reading" it and listened to the audiobook, which was as lovely and sad and bitingly funny as I knew it would be. Sigh. less

I enjoyed this book. It was haunting and different. Interesting look at how lives intersect.
