review 1: David Shenk’s book, The Genius in All of Us, has given me a basis for what genetics really is, and what it isn’t. Although it was a bit difficult and a tiny bit slow, it was able to hold my interest with the fascinating stories. I won’t say anything so I don’t spoil it, but you can learn the power of your genes, compared to the power of your peers. The Ted Williams field reminded me of a story I read called the big field, where this guy always plays at one field and, like Ted Williams, he is the best. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning about genetics.
review 2: The book was a quick, clean and opinion altering read; easily five star except that I was left with two uncovered questions. Firstly how would millions of individuals
... moregain exposure to the millions of possible ambitions which they may pursue. Its easy if your parents are musicians however that limits access to many other things like embalmer or fashion designer.Secondly unless one or ones family has adequate resources it's not possible to exercise choice. Then what? less
