review 1: The story itself was wonderful. The actual parts of the book needed to sufficiently draw the reader in, keep them engrossed and emotionally involved until the end were well written and enjoyed. The problem I had was the sidetracked thoughts that the character droned on and on about, until I found myself either daydreaming or skimming over, until the author got back on track. So much could have been said with so much less.
review 2: These books are my guilty pleasures. The ones a good librarian never admits to liking. But I have to tell you, when I checked on my iPad to see what I had to read on a plane trip, I was thrilled to see an odd Thomas I hadn't read. Is Koontz too verbose? Yep. You can skim those tirades and not lose the story. These books always
... morego fast and make me laugh and get scared. What more could you want in a summer read? less
