review 1: This is a book that kept me coming back, even when I was super busy and really should have been doing other things. I would willingly put aside important things just to read on!I'm not usually one for western themes or steam punk, but these aesthetics didn't overpower the story, instead it was a very character focused tale, and that was what drew me in. Each of the characters busts with intrigue, menace and mystery. I felt a little disappointed when the focus seemed to shift away from Llew and onto the squabbling brothers, Jonas and Braph - Llew was by far my favourite character. But their story also managed to hook me and by the end I was itching for more.Definitely worth a read. Go read it! Now!
review 2: I bought this book as a free nook book. This novel was
... more AMAZING!. I loved Llew and Jonas. Their characters boldly marched through my imagination. I was Llew. The story line was great, and followed real world issues. I was impressed with a lot of the emotional turmoil the llew goes through. Her journey through a crash course in leaving her home and finding herself in a world that wants her power is amazing. If there is a second novel in this series, I will definitely be reading it. This book was well worth my time to read less
