review 1: Beautiful guide to decorating your home. The most useful tidbits are the visual glossary pages. I find it difficult to articulate my preferences to furniture dealers (e.g. Tight back sofa, Pedestal Table) and this came in handy. I am really looking for a book that shows you how to adapt the same space over time. This book didn't offer suggestions for that... instead it showed very distinct and separate living spaces. She could have also left out the chapter on Kitchens because it seemed out of place.
review 2: Domino's magazine is geared toward the trendy twenty to thirty year-old so it should be no surprise that this decorating books reaches the same audience. That's what Domino does and Domino does it well. But even if you don't fall into that age category th
... moreere is a lot to glean from the book.Even the cover is a delight of design and color. The book is divided into different rooms in your house: living room, dining room, kitchen, entryway, kid's bedroom, your bedroom, office, bathroom. Each chapter tackles your individual style and a variety of color schemes, floor plans and quick tips and tricks to achieve a particular look.Best of all the book is absolutely packed with color photos and drawings and great advice. Just a couple nuggets from the book: "One spectacular piece with scale and drama is like an exclamation point in a room." Or, " Use your rug as inspiration for your overall palette- just borrow the colors for paint, furniture and accessories."And as an absolute clincher to the deal, a Domino magazine subscription is included with the purchase of the book! Pretty great. less

This was a fun way to reminisce about one of the greatest magazines to ever exist.
