review 1: I really enjoyed this book! It started out kind of slow but then just took off! I loved all the descriptions of the area and how the scenery looked! I also enjoyed the way the author wrote in drama and suspense parts to continually hold my interest-not too much and not too little. The Characters were so likable and the depth in which each one was written about was just amazing! When you add the bits of humor and magic all thrown in, the story is totally wonderful and just comes together! Ms Smith is a fabulously entertaining writer and i so look forward to more of this great series and other stories!
review 2: The Biscuit Witch is just another of Deborah Smith's books that I purposely stopped reading just to make it last longer. She mixes romance, a touch of
... morefantasy, and the feeling of home, effortlessly into book 1 of the MacBride series. The cast of odd characters (first introduced in The Crossroads Cafe) are back and are crazier, and more likable, than ever and I'm anxiously waiting to learn more about all of them in the next two books in the series. less
