Patrik gets confirmation that Marit was murdered. There was something in his mind that he failed to grasp when he first saw the body. Now he remembers what that something is, so he checks his notes about a conference he went a while ago, and there he has his confirmation. We still don’t know what it is, so I am really intrigued.
Now the importance of the reality show is clear as one of the contestants is found dead in a rubbish bin by a dustman. The television producers threw a party for the fans and the participants of the show also attended. It was after the party that the body was found, and Martin, who had been at the party as part of security, recognises the dead woman. The name hasn’t been disclosed to us yet, but from Martin’s description of the woman as a bimbo, I think he means Barbie. What we know about Barbie is that she felt lost when her father died young. She was already motherless, so she had to go with different foster families. Then as she grew up, she realised that a way to get things was through sex. So she used men for her own benefit, and one of her boyfriends got her a breast augmentation. From then on she used her sex appeal, and even took part in Big Brother, and her only allure was to be show having sex. Barbie is not a happy girl even though she pretends to be buoyant and vibrant. The identity of the dead person hasn’t been confirmed yet, but I think it is her. If it is not her, it is either Jonna, the girl who cuts herself because she feels neglected by her doctor parents, or Tina, who wants to be a famous singer.
Apart from the case, on the personal front, Patrik and Erica are still busy with the wedding arrangements. Also, Martin’s girlfriend, Pia, is pregnant but Martin has only told Patrik because he has guessed. Actually, Pia doesn’t want to tell anybody before she gets to her twelfth week. And Mellberg is still smitten with his new lady friend.
