review 1: THis is one of my favorite love inspired stories. The heroine is just what the groom DIDN'T expect which creates its own bag of trouble but the way both characters grow and develop is wonderful. This is a story that will "grab your guts" as you feel for the characters and root for them. The heroine is true to herself although different from the women around her but is also willing to leave her comfort zone to make her husband smile. A gem of a book. There's some marital longing in the book and for this reason I couldn't recommend it for young readers but it is clean and respectful.
review 2: What a fresh, delightful story. Debra Ullrick showed her unique talent by taking on a difficult premise...a humble, financially poor woman with a big heart, little educati... moreon, and a naieve innocence to the world around her. I thoroughly enjoyed Ullrick's delightful one-liners, such as, "Back up your horses, cowboy." Selina is such an honest and real heroine. In spite of her poverty, she's kind and selfless. She doesn't know better than to bring a wolf pup into the house. She just knows the animal needs help. And the hero soon learns not only to appreciate Selina's unique differences, but to actually cherish them. Very enjoyable. A break from the dusty old romances I've read lately. :) less
