review 1: I did like the urban Romeo & Juliette-esque plotline of this story, which is the reason it is getting 2 stars instead of 1. If you are a materialistic person, the continuous dropping of high-end car names, expensive clothing brands and "my family's estate, encompassing well over 20,000 square feet" on a five acres of land... this all may be appealing. To me, it was just grating. Also, the dialog was not very believeable. I know young love can be pretty idealistic and stupid, but after being together for only a few days, I can't see many 17 year old boys making honest declairation about how they are going to marry their girl. That aspect of the story reminds me of why I didn't really enjoy Twilight.
review 2: I don't remember enough about this to really say... more anything but I remember liking it. It's more along the lines of YA than adult but it'd be hard to get a book that isn't good if it's from King. I just happened to see the part in the description mentioning Biggie and am laughing my ass off. Thanks for that tip guys! Most of the people reading King's books probably wouldn't have picked that up without that tip. (Um, can anyone pick up on my sarcasticness?) less
