review 1: Over the weekend I read Celtic Skies, which is Book 3 in the Celtic Steel Series. This is a historical romance that is filled with a sense of adventure that is captivating from the very beginning. I would not say that this is a romance novel in the traditional sense but the romance is there. The characters are brilliantly defined and it's almost as if the author is painting a picture with her words. Now it looks like I'm going to have to go back and read the first two. :)
review 2: This book had a different flow than the first 2. Not better or worse, just different. It had some of what I thought were factual inconsistencies, so I did something I've never done, mailed the author. Her reply let me know 3 things: 1) She takes the time to write her readers bac
... morek. 2) She has a devious (in a good way) relationship with her characters. 3) There is more depth to the story and characters than appears at first glance, or first read. There are tiny background threads going on that one might not pick up on, or like me, write it off as inconsistencies. I will not do a spoiler, but this installment took a turn I didn't see coming and now I can't wait even more for the next installment. Thanks to the author for the ARC. less
