review 1: A Haunting Deconstruction of 'The Hero'This is the movie that broke all the rules of what a 'comic-book movie' should be. And aren't we glad it did... This was a film that was unafraid to defy convention. The shackles of the 'superhero' genre that were carefully loosened with Begins, are utterly splintered with The Dark Knight. ... morestered as it just didn't grip me.Maybe this isn't a fair review as I failed to read the entire book but I give books a certain amount of time to make an impact on me and this did not.Was my first ever novelisation of a film and if doesn't make me want to purchase any others.Sorry Batman fans! less
