review 1: I had mixed emotions about this free short story. It is a good storyline. A man in love with a shape shifter but it kind of creeped me out when he told the wolf he wanted to make love to it in wolf form – Wait, WHAT? EW! (That was my reaction). It begins when Charlie is basically stalking this wolf/woman for a year and finally the wolf – Lianne – lets him get close enough to her in wolf form. She begins to trust him so she shifts back into her human form. They have sex, the end. The thing about short stories like this is that there is ONE thing I CAN’T STAND! The ‘C’ word. Oh my goodness when I hear it in public I cringe and when I read it, I throw my book against the wall. This book had it. I finished it, but was not impressed. That’s ... moreall.
review 2: I went into this book with very little expectations. I had read three 'free reads' before this and they were all disappointments and I felt a waste of my time. However, this free read gave me yet another author to swoon over. Can we all say sexy? I felt myself squirming a little at this naughty nooner. I knew that this had to be part of a series of sorts. I look on Ellora's Cave only to find that there is a book before this and a book after. The characters were just all together intriguing. I have it on my kindle so I'm not sure on page count I'm pretty sure it was 20 some odd pages. With only that page amount Desiree Holt made me a believer. The setting was great, the emotional connection was believable. The sex was too hot to trot. Her sex scenes are very graphic and the wordage is naughty to the point where she even tops Lora Leigh's first few Breed books which I thought no one could do!If you just want a quick book to pick up and read in about fifteen minutes, you won't be disappointed if this is your choice! less
