review 1: A cute story about a man who has to cope with a damaging past and another who has to cope with a new attraction.Charlie Baker had the life he'd always wanted. He was a firefighter with a good team, and he had someone whom he loved. But that life shattered the day that his lover drugged him and set the house on fire, trying to make it seem as if Charlie had committed suicide. Charlie managed to survive that night, but his whole life changed. He lost his job, he lost his friends, and he had to learn to live with his injuries.Gregory Anders is an in-home translator who is trying to train his new puppy. One day he runs into Charlie at a beach, and a new friendship is begun. But things get a little complicated when Greg realizes that he is starting to be attracted to Charlie. W... morehich shouldn't be happening because he isn't gay. Right?Overall, it was a sweet, easy read. Charlie tries to get over his belief that his injuries make him a lesser man and Greg takes it surprisingly well that he's gay. The amount of "no I'm NOT gay! there's just NO FREAKIN WAY!!" is kept pretty short, which I thought was refreshing.Recommend for people looking for a light, easy read =)
review 2: Another exciting read from this author. I tend to love the unrealistic Gay For You trope reads.  This one seems to try to make more sense of the trope than most.  Both Charlie and Greg are the masculine-type men, that makes this hot read flammable.  LOTS of sex, but isn't that what makes people fall in love?  It's the chemistry, and these two have lots of chemistry.  I'm going for a glass of wine and a cigarette now.  less
