review 1: Once I started reading the first book was hooked on the series. I'm in love with Jamie. Can't imagine them making a movie about the books because no one alive could measure up to my image of him. Wow is he something else. The problem became trying to get anything else done in my life. Had to finish the book, then look for another one … Yes they are excellent to get away without leaving home.
review 2: So detailed in her descriptions of life in historical Scotland and Colonial America. I find myself looking up Gaelic terms and individual words. The love story of Claire and Jamie is so involved and full of life. Most of These books are over 1000 pages. My first undertaking in a book/story this large, but I loved it. I want more and I can't wait to get the ... morenewest one. I highly recommended all "THE OUTLANDER" series she writes. I am also going to start her "Lord John" series as he is a main character from The Outlander series. less
