review 1: Aku memang pecinta karya tante Diana Palmer (DP). Entah mengapa walaupun jalan ceritanya begitu-begitu saja, aku tetap suka. Sweet gitu ceritanya. Kocak banget baca percakapan mereka. Rourke suka banget godain Chet yang cepet emosian. Bahkan Rydel dan Cappie pun sampai godain mereka berdua.Overall, oke lah dibaca buat selingan. Bukunya tipis kok =)
review 2: Why do I keep reading Diana Palmer? I know the formula and it works when you just need a good old damsel-in-distress romance. She keeps everything old fashioned: ultra manly men and untouched, naive women who need to be rescued. This should offend my modern sensibilities but I cut my teeth on her books and still have a place in my romance reading heart for her books. I do, however, have an issue with the fact that she gives too much explanation about her characters. I don't need to be reminded every third Page about someone's mercenary past. Also, it's annoying that everyone is called by first and last name. Jacobsville is a really proper place, indeed. So I'm giving the book 3 stars. It was good but nothing original or out of the ordinary. less
