review 1: I thought this was interesting and the fact it was about a human women and a werewolf intrigued me. In no other story that I have read clearly defines a werewolf and a human. Quite frankly we have just categorized them as humans with a little bit extra. I do not know whether that is an oversight or we just ignore it.This story about the heroine having insecurities about a gorgeous man wanting her is not different nor unique. However the story grabs you and lets you fall in love with the character. In a sense that is what makes this story unique are the characters. The hero was alpha male but he didn't demean the heroine or demoralize the situation.Overall this was an impressive and creative story.
review 2: The author put a lot of warning with regards to the co... morentent of this story and if you're looking for something arousing and highly sensual with a paranormal touch, this is it! I'm a fan of shifter novels cause I can't resist a sexy alpha. Given that it's a short story, I knew what to expect when it comes to the pace, characters, and erotic couplings. I obviously enjoyed it cause I wanted to know how Lanie would acknowledge what she's really feeling. Lucien is aggressive because that's the Alpha's nature and he does things the only way he knows how. He gets to the point. I liked that they did "couple" things together and Lucien was sweet and caring. I didn't even mind the time frame when they fell in love. I believe in instances of knowing your one true love by instinct. The scenes between them were really hot and Ms Persaud really built up the tension between them. Their intimate times together were both passionate and primal. I liked Lanie cause she's kickass. There was a slight misunderstanding between them when it came to Lucien's intentions but that would be resolved through the direct way. I'm looking forward to reading the next! This is a good start of a series. less
