review 1: This book really was ok. I have no burning need to read the other two books in the series, but if someone gave them to me I probably would. This middle grade book seemed to be purposely avoiding topics that would put it out of the range of those readers. The characters seem a tad flat, and the story never really caught my attention. These flaws could solely come from the fact that I did not read the first book in the series.
review 2: "The Cup and the Crown" picks up with Molly after her adventures in "The Silver Bowl". I genuinely enjoy these books. The adventures are grand, the villains are evil and need to be stopped, and sometimes bad things happen to good people.
