review 1: The book Phantom Tollbooth is an adventure packed book that is filled with fun.An example is when Milo the main character finds a tollbooth in his room and goes in it, then he finds himself in a completely different world. There is also some fear in this book.for example when Milo entered the Dull Drums and was getting convinced to stop thinking then a dog named Tock saved him. A lot of what you will find in this book is excitement. When Milo rescued princess Rhyme and Reason and flew on Tocks back safely to the ground, then Milo got thanked for all of his help.I recommend this book because it is very exiting and it captured my attention very easily.
review 2: I sticking with the middle for a rating on this book.It did start really, really slow. But the book sy
... morenopsis really had me, so I stuck it out. This book has some romance to it but I wouldn't classify it's a romance novel.A lot of reviewers seemed irked about it not doing Thailand justice. I've never been there so I wouldn't know. Also a naive young girl and a jaded older man...that description is a bit much. There age difference is 10 years, he's harder a cradle robber when she is in her late 20's. I wouldn't really say Jessica is naive but open minded and looking for an adventure. It's a decent story about a very slow growing love. They face a tragedy and make it through it, stronger and more open. For what I imagine pirates to be like, this story was very tame. less

Discontinued reading at Page 90. Outdated story setting. Colorless writing. The book dims its title.
