review 1: I picked up this book solely to fulfill a library reading program requirement (read a book about surfing), but I was very pleasantly surprised. The Gentleman's Hour is a delightful and fairly light-hearted crime novel, with fun, engaging characters, a witty writing voice and a good plot. Winslow also adeptly ties the art and philosophy of surfing into the story without becoming too heavy-handed. A fun read.

... moreg the fall for his white supremist buddies. Great story, so well written. You really feel for the Boone and all he is going through to do the rignt thing at all times. I can't wait to read another book by Winslow. less

Absolutely enjoyed this follow up to the Dawn Patrol. Don Winslow did not disappoint.
