review 1: This read more as a "lust" story instead of a "love" story. The author spent a considerable amount of time on the desirable physical characteristics of each person and a limited amount of time describing the more important moral and intellectual characteristics of each person. I love my romantic, adventure stories but this one was a little too "romantic" for my liking. Though it was an engrossing story.
review 2: Right up to almost the end, I was questioning my sanity in trying to finish this book. It was clearly a book I would have stopped reading early on but for the fact that I had purchased it (ebook). It felt like several different stories stitched together in a patchwork fashion and the main characters were constantly doing and saying things inconsi... morestant with their characters. There were so many cliches.... I was scan-reading.... I don't intend to read more in the series but I am glad I finished it so it could be a real 2-star book. I was going to give it 1.5. less
