review 1: Another touching book by Donna VanLiere! Gretchen's husband has been injured in Afghanistan and she and her young children move to a condo near her mother while he recuperates in Germany. Gretchen (a Christian) tries to be friendly and supportive to her neighbor, Melissa. Melissa has never had a friend and doesn't know how to react. You will be amazed at the relationship that develops between the two women and Gretchen's mother.
review 2: I loved this book. This is one of those books that you don't want to put down. I wanted to keep reading and reading and seeing what happened with the family. I was so bummed when it ended and we didn't find out what happened with... I don't want to say too much because I want you to read it. I recommend this book, and the... more other book I read of hers, which is the Christmas shoes. This is a really sweet story, with a very happy ending. less
