review 1: I really enjoyed this novella, it has everything that it should be considered when it comes to a werewolf novella. You have a hot Alpha male, the mate/ love at first sight aspect, evil lurking around, and a HEA. I really like the characters, I thought Alec was the perfect alpha wolf with his dominance and sexiness and Livia fit him perfectly, and together they were hot.I will continue to read the novellas since they are a quick, fun and sexy read.
review 2: Sheriff Alec Hart is a hard man, he knows it and it one of the reasons he has never spent looking for his mate. Alex has a vicious side that he would never want her to see, of course it takes just one scent of his mate and he is hooked. Quickly changing his mind, he goes from testy nature to protector of h... moreis mate.Livia Briers is a sweet witch, of course the woman who has taken her into her home after her parents died has done nothing but belittle her and make her feel insecure every chance she gets. It is why Alec sees he is the perfect mate for her, he will only make her feel good abut herself and take out the trash in her life that needs taking out. When a witch disappears and it looks like foul play is afoot, Alex plans to mate Livia swiftly and keep her safely by his side. I had to go back and read the first book in the Grey Wolf Pack series after reading The Alpha's Mate. Alec and Livia are polar opposites and he is so sweet when it comes to Livia, you see a whole other side to him. Livia is a sweetie but she also has no problem squaring off with Alex when need be. I look foward to more in this series, very fun read. less
