review 1: Very confusing writing. It should have been written in first person. The language was really poor. Do the Scots really talk that way. I've spent a lot of time in the UK, and only books and TV use such poor grammar? Language was crude and vulgar and what the heck did he mean by "likes". In the first couple chapters someone, I think it was Miller, ended every sentence with "likes". Many of the terms used made no sense in English much less American. I won't bother looking for any more by this author. Could be a pretty good crime novel if he had someone clean it up a bit.
review 2: This murder mystery started fast bringing in social networks and technology. I enjoyed DC Scott Cullen as he and his coworkers tried to find a missing woman and solve what appears
... more to be the work of a serial killer. The first clue linking the woman and later women to the murderer is a social network. DC Cullen must use good old fashion detective work plus a heaping helping of modern technology to crack the case. Interesting storyline. Will read more from author Ed James. less
