review 1: Another piece of evidence that Lee is hit or miss as an author. I especially get put out over over the top southern accents and stereotypical white trash language and thought process. I really get the impression that Mr Lee has never even met anyone from the south or Appalachia yet he writes like he is an authority. These people are poor not out and out stupid. The situations are unbelievable and border on outrageous for the shock value only. Shock does not always equal good story!
review 2: I love this book! I'm getting over a bad cold right now so "The Dritiphilist" grossed me out even more than it normally would (lots of phlegm!) but i loved it & laughed really hard. I love Ed Lee's nasty deviant mind! I'm rarely disappointed with Lee's books (only 2 or... more 3 i didn't care for) & i still think the Infernal series are some of the best books i've read. This book is not for everyone & i'm sure would offend most mainstream people, however i love to be grossed out so this is perfect for me. The last four stories in this book i enjoyed the most. less
