TBR Tuesday #24

Hello reader/s! For a while now, I’ve been writing a bi-weekly post about books that are on my TBR. TBR, if you don’t know is the abbreviation for To Be Read. My goal here is to shed some light on books that I’ve otherwise forgotten about. These books could be books I’ve been meaning to read from the library, or books that have been collecting dust on my shelves at home. My goal though is to say a little about the book and also give a little reasoning of why I want to read them. In hopes of reading them sooner than later.

Today’s books are two books that are ones that I’ve been meaning to read for a loooong time now. One book is a Mermaid book, and the other is a book that wraps up a Dystopian trilogy.

The first book is Monstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama.

I’m going to be 100% honest here and say that I have never read the synopsis for Monstrous Beauty before. Until now. Monstrous Beauty is a Young Adult Fantasy novel that deals with Mermaids, Romance, and a little of the Paranormal world!

Since I’ve now read the synopsis, I’m even more drawn into the story behind how everything came to be! — What is Ezra, the love interest in the story? And what exactly happened between Syrenka and Ezra? I’m so interested in finding out! I’m actually a little excited that the main portion of the story seems to be from a different point of view from Syrenka’s — that’s if she has a view in the story.

The second book I’ll be talking about here is the last book in a Dystopian trilogy. The Last Star, book 3 to The 5th Wave trilogy!

I’ve been wanting to finish the series for sooo long now. I haven’t read the synopsis for The Last Star, nor will I, until I get around to reading and reviewing this book. I’m a little iffy about actually getting down and reading the book since I didn’t particularly enjoy reading The Infinite Sea. However, when I do read The Last Star, I hope that the book won’t feel like a filler.

Both of these books are different, and I’m actually happy that I put these two books together for this post. Since both of these books differ in their genres, thinking about the books, the plots, everything is so different and I love that!

Have you read Monstrous Beauty, or The Last Star, yet? If you have, what did you think of them? If you haven’t do you think that one day you might read either of these books?

Thank you for reading!
Adele
