review 1: This book is so funny! I love, love, love the epilogue ending!!!! I mean, how genius is that? The story is really sweet and I love the turnout, for most of the characters. Though the Pippin part makes me a bit sad. I think that Tally is an amazing girl! She's just so lively and cute and gifted. Mr. Larken is a very good con artist, and oh, how I love him for it! He's like the most epic dude ever! This story is just great, and I really, truly think that people should read this book, if not for the characters, then for the most humorous ending I've read in a long time!
review 2: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I've been making my way through the bachelor chronicles in NO kind of order and have been enjoying them immensely. This book would have received five star
... mores from me if it weren't for a couple of things. Number one: It seemed that the male lead was suffering from some form of PTSD and the happily ever after the story gave just did NOT ring true. Love is a great healer and all (coupled with good sex), but with how fucked up he was supposed to be? Nuh uh. I don't require complete realism from a story, but it showed inconsistency with the character. What kept the story from being knocked down to three stars was how completely RIGHT the characters were for one another. It wasn't just chemistry, the characters as they were created complemented each other SO WELL. I also liked that the author wasn't scared to kill people off. Not many, but still. I found the exit of Dashwell COMPLETELY unbelievable. Yeah, yeah, Pippin traded herself for his freedom yadda yadda. But the excuse the asshole gave Dash did not ring true for her AT ALL, and from everything else I'd read it seemed that Dash would know Pippin well enough to know that. I mean, I'd believe him tearing off if the author had come up with a better excuse. I only count that a teensy bit against this book, as it wasn't the main love story. But I found it frustrating enough that I will probably NOT read the Pippin/Dash book. Make him think that she ditched him because of the story that Sarah bitch told, but the line the asshole who blackmailed her into marriage gave? *shakes head* Disappointing. I am, however, finding Elizabeth Boyle to be an eminently entertaining author and look forward to reading the rest of the bachelor chronicles (except for the Pippin/Dash one). less

The Bachelor Chronicles is indeed a good series and this is one of the best after Felicity's story.
