review 1: I woud give this book 10 stars if I could! It has to be my best read this year! I love the style of the author's writing. She wrote to her readers assuming we were intellectual and educated. It grabbed me right from the start opening up with the viewpoint of an 8 year old girl and then taking us on a journey we would not ever want to end until . . . . .Until we gasped when we read the last chapter . . . telling ourselves, no, no, no that could not have possibly happened!!
review 2: Wow! I really loved this book - it is definitely a book for book lovers! It was 5 stars up until the 3/4 mark and then I felt I was reading Flowers in the Attic or something equally lame and I had some serious criticisms of a lot of the decisions the characters made during this... more point in the book. However, the end brought it around for me and I truly enjoyed reading it! In fact, the dedication sums it up for me, "I dedicate this book to all the brilliant authors who have kept me up till the wee hours, made me see the world -and myself-differently, and inspired me to become a better writer. Every day I look at the book spines on all my overloaded shelves and remember the worlds behind them, and feel full." less
