Paladin's Legacy
review 1: This was a well-written end to the Paladin's Legacy series. The ending felt a bit rushed in parts, notably Kieri's confrontation with Sekkady was especially flat after a series long lead up. Dorrin's part was fabulous, though. I absolutely love the original Paksenarrion trilogy that is the prequel to this, and this 5 book series does not disappoint. I hope Moon continues to write in this world.
review 2: I first started reading Elizabeth Moon's stories when she was co writing science fiction books with Anne McCaffrey and then followed her own SF offerings, pretty much liking each one. ... mored luckily I had enough free time to finish it over a long weekend. Since she announced up front that this book would finish this series it was fun to see how she did it and I wasn't disappointed. It does seem as if magic has become such an important part of all of her characters. Although this series is ending you can certainly see that many of the character's stories could branch off into a new series, especially Dorren. The author seems to leave this world in good shape with many of the evil forces which have threatened it being conquered but we'll see what she writes about in the future. A very entertaining and enjoyable book. less
