review 1: I liked number one in this series, # 5 not so much. Since I had this one on reserve and it came in I gave it a try. Sorry, but in my opinion this "mystery "series has turned into a bad soap opera. In this installment it becomes multigenerational. As I listened to the audio there is a chance that the narrators southern drawl and french accents (both appropriate for the characters) contributed to my impression. I'm done with this series.
review 2: Actually couldn't decide between three and four stars. In terms of the actual quality of the book it's a three, but I was so glad that it was good (after the last one) that I went with a four. This one was a quick but engaging read. I loved the different settings and the inclusion of Lucie's grandfather. I'm also a ... moresucker for a happy ending sespecially when I didn't see it coming. I am now certainly looking forward to the next book in the series. less
